Everything is a Sign

When we are stuck trying to make an important decision about something in our lives, we might occasionally ask the universe for a sign.  As if there was no where left to go, we might find ourselves desperately throwing our head and hands up to the sky and find ourselves begging for the answers. Searching for a sign that confirms that everything is going to be okay. A sign that the choices we are making will lead to something better. A sign that what we are doing really does matter. These are signs for when we feel stuck.

We look for these sticky signs when we are banging on doors that won’t open or struggling way too much with little to show for it. And we’ll take anything as a sign at that point.  A sign that tells us –  yes keep going, you’ve go this, the best is right around the bend or no, no you are way off course – trim your sails and tack in a new direction.

Truth be told, whether you feel stuck or not – everything in your life is a sign and the universe speaks to you through everything all of the time. The universe puts people in your path, messages on your phone, quotes in your books, songs on Spotify, weather in your way, and clues at every corner to direct you.  The problem is your too busy to see or listen. You only look for signs when you are stuck. Shame on you.

I promise you this,  every moment of your life leaves clues about what to do next and about how to proceed on the path.  Every second of our life is an opportunity to receive messages from the universe. Messages that will help you make choices that will provide more certainty and clarity and bring you closer to your truth.

But How Do We Trust The Signs?

When I think about asking the universe for a sign I always want to give it a warning first.  Please dear universe, please don’t give me that “listen to your inner wisdom” line, because I can’t hear a damn thing.  Oh, and by the way, don’t send me any of those weird, cryptic messages because even if I do hear  a whisper of truth in them, I can’t trust the sign because I am such a big, overwhelmed mess.

Asking The Universe for Signs You Can See

The clearer we get to understanding where we want to go next, the bigger and brighter the signs become. It’s as if the universe meets you in the middle. The universe draws in closer as you lift your fears and doubts and start to double down on what your heart really desires. The more open and aware that you become, the louder the universe speaks. The signs become bigger, brighter and more powerful than ever.
