Letting Your Soul Shine Through

My soul doesn’t require organic greens and cage-free pasteurized eggs. No, it needs a different flavor of delicious sustenance to thrive. By Madeline Johnson

Question: How do I let my soul shine through everything I do today?

My soul so immense – housed in this beautiful body of mine- electrifying every cell, charging ever impulse, igniting my nerve endings – the fire of my fiber, the igniter of my life.

I light up like lightning. Soul-shining.

Powering Up The Soul

My soul doesn’t require organic greens and cage-free pasteurized eggs. No, it needs a different flavor of delicious sustenance to thrive.

I must go where I feel free, where I feel happy and connected and at one with the world. I must soar through the inner and outer worlds.  I go to where I can feel fueled up by the forces of nature. These are the places where my soul spreads wild. Where I feel washed over by the strength of the sun and flow with the fluid movement of the ocean tide.

“Instructions for living a life.
Pay attention.
Be astonished.
Tell about it.”

Where does my soul want to play today?

My soul wants to dance and move to the rhythm of life’s music. My soul wants my body to feel loose, mystical and free.

My soul wants to consume the natural beauty of this wonder world. My soul seeks adventure.

But first we must let our souls wash away our cares.

We are made to resolve ourselves. Paint over the tragedies meant to finish us off. . .

Show me the most damaged parts of your soul,

and I will show you how it still shines like Gold.

My soul will pour out of me today. . .in thoughtful words, reassuring smiles, deep, warm hugs, long, releasing stretches,  beautiful, resonating song. My soul will soothe even the most difficult of moments today with compassion and love.

My Soul Completes Me

I am a living, breathing connector. A connector of life here and spirit and soul everywhere. I am a whole human as far as I can tell. A human with a soul and my soul is immense. My soul sits in this body but my soul spreads through time and space.

My soul soars above it all and takes my mind and body with it.

I am going to let my soul take over this body today.  My soul connected to God has come here to spread through this planet and soar through time and space.

My soul – huge, tremendous, so big, so magnanimous. So forgiving and so free.

What We Learn Along the Way

Life happens. Life teaches.
Some of the most important things I have learned along the way. By Madeline Johnson

Life happens. Life teaches. We live and we learn.

Some of the most important things I have learned along the way.

Life can be unpredictable. The weather can get dark and stormy.  Clouds roll in. No matter what happens, be prepared and stay centered. Don’t let every little thing that happens throw you off balance.  You get to decide what rocks your boat, what drives you crazy.

storms

Pay attention to the details. Sloppy and fast requires do overs. You don’t want to have to redo what you didn’t want to tackle in the first place.

attention

Sometimes that thing we don’t want to do – what must be done. Do your best and move on.

We don’t listen deeply enough to each other. Communicate clearly and elegantly. Get your point across. When it’s your turn to listen, listen with all of your senses.

2.png

Most of us want bad situations to be over as soon as possible. We will do anything to escape confrontation. We just want to move on. Sometimes they take time to work out. Patience really is a virtue.

When bad things happen, it’s even more important to take extra good care of yourself. Provision yourself well –  to ride out the storm.

Think long and hard before you say yes to commitments. Especially long term commitments.

Don’t rush into relationships or situations. Weigh your decisions carefully. Uncover the truth, then take smart, calculated risks.

Always remain grateful, even when all you have is just a little.

3.png

You don’t know what you or someone else is capable of doing until they’re really desperate.

Pay attention to your life. Don’t be lazy. Do what needs to be done now.

We are never really blind-sided. Heed the warning signs. Examine the red flags. Listen to the small pains that can become big headaches. Don’t wait. Act now.

Focus on the good that is happening in your life, even when times are dark and bleak.

We all lie. We lie to ourselves. Big lies, small lies, white lies, dark lies. We deceive each other. We do this because we don’t want to hurt ourselves or others. Face the truth. The truth will set you free. Seek what is fact, not fiction in life.

lying

Most of us see situations the way we want them to be, instead of how they truly are – stay in reality.  Reality may be harsh, but it is your friend

Know that when someone is lashing out in anger, they are usually very sad and frightened.

Shifting Your Focus & Redirecting Your Energy

What to do when you feel like your life doesn’t align with your dreams. by Madeline Johnson

Everything is Energy.

Your thoughts are energy

and everything we create begins with thinking first.

energy
Negative thoughts = negative energy
Negative thoughts lead to anxious days. Sometimes miserable ones at that.
energy

Energy cannot be created or destroyed. It can only be changed from one form to another.

– Albert Einstein
Fresh New Vibes
Your ‘vibration’ is a way of describing your overall state of being. Everything in the universe is made up of energy vibrating at different frequencies. Even things that look solid are made up of vibrational energy fields at the quantum level. This includes you.”

What to do when you aren’t doing what you really want to be doing, but you must.
When you’re taking that job to pay the rent.
When you’re just way to comfortable with your significant other.
When you feel like you just don’t have any real friends.
When you’re feeling like a sell out.
When you’re not following your passion.
Or pursuing your purpose.
When you feel like a fake.
An imposter.
When you feel ugly on the inside, and maybe on the out.
When you feel like your life doesn’t align with your dreams.
You must redirect your energy. . . reconfigure that negative thinking.
You must change your mind.
Shift Your focus.
Yet still respect the rules.

thoughts
Realize you may be too close to see your reality.
Recognize that you are ruminating again. (but make sure you’re not problem-solving, which is a good thing).
Take charge of your thoughts, your life again.
Anxious rumination can pull us in and take on a life of its own, providing a superstitious feeling of security and control.
To get unstuck and outside of our heads, we can activate our right (nonverbal) brain by doing a simple physical activity such as a walk (without ruminating), or jogging in place for a minute or two. Or we can soothe ourselves, for example, by focusing on our breathing in a meditative way, drawing or painting, or listening to music. In this way, we can contain anxiety and unnecessary torment, as well as safeguard our psychological resources for genuine problem-solving, creative thought, relationships, and other challenges that pay off.
Allow yourself to rest first. Take a moment to pause.
Now begin to question and remove every thought that is not serving you well.
Physically change your environment. Put down the phone, close the laptop,
get the hell off of Instagram. Please.
Take a walk. Go for a bike ride. Stop and change your location.
Just move.
Take another moment to protect your energy. . .
protect your energy
Understand that negative, anxious thinking is positive energy turned bad, spent complaining, fretting, crying, worrying, comparing and hating yourself.

You must struggle to redirect it. You channel it. You take that pain and anguish and put it into something new. Let it out. Use that energy to make something new. Something that looks a little more like what you want.

You take that energy and you journal a bit, go for a run or a walk, blast your favorite music. Make your bed. Clean the kitchen. You break out the water colors, turn to the fresh page, press open the notebook. You click on a new project on adobe. You put on your yoga leggings and grab your mat.  You walk to the market and pick up a wickedly healthy salad.
