Miracles by The Moment

Our purpose here is to make sure we love enough. Madeline Johnson

You should try this trick I do, because it really helps put things in perspective. You see, I reverse engineer my timeline to determine how I should live my life now. I look to see my future.

I start by picturing myself on my death bed. I am just about to take my last few breaths and I ask myself.

Did I love enough?

I believe an act of loving kindness is the biggest contribution you can make to this world.

Love, is such a big word isn’t it? It’s almost overwhelming.  It’s a word packed with meaning.

Did I love enough? can also be interpreted as, Did I forgive enough? Did I care enough? Did I give enough? Did I encourage enough? Did I appreciate enough?

But before we can really consider how much we love, I believe we have to rethink what we perceive love to be.

What are the first thoughts that come to your mind when you think of the word love? For many of us, even thought we know better, we are brainwashed from a young age to think of love as merely an emotion we feel. We fall in love. Love is something our mother’s are suppose to give us unconditionally.

Love is not a mere sentiment of emotion, but the ultimate truth at the heart of creation.

– Deepak Chopra

What I am Reading: A Return to Love by Marianne Williamson.

I am contemplating the power of love and the role of love in our lives. I want to renew and relearn my ideas of love. I want to understand the bigger role that love plays in our lives.  The power of love.

Here below are some intriguing thoughts about love. Reflections from the book A Return to Love . .

Love is what we were born with. Fear is what we learned here.

♥ The spiritual journey is the relinquishment, or unlearning, of fear and the acceptance of love back into our hearts.

♥ Love gives energy and direction. It is spiritual fuel.

♥ Love is the essential existential fact. It is our ultimate reality and our purpose on earth. To be consciously aware of it, to experience love in us and others, it the meaning of life. ♥

♥ We came here to co-create with God by extending love.

♥ Love isn’t seen with the physical eyes or heard with the physical ears. The physical senses can’t perceive it; it’s perceived through another kind of vision.

♥ Metaphysicians call it the Third Eye, esoteric Christians call it the vision of the Holy Spirit, and others call it the Higher Self.

♥ …love requires a different kind of “seeing” than we’re used to – a different kind of knowing or thinking.

♥ Love is the intuitive knowledge of our hearts.

Am I loving enough right now?

I am staying open and aware to the opportunities to bring more love to everyone today. I will continue to demonstrate love in every aspect of my life. To love more with my thoughts, words and actions.

Living Your Life On Purpose

There is no greater feeling of accomplishment than knowing you have a purpose- knowing that you are making a difference – by Madeline Johnson

There is no greater feeling of accomplishment than knowing you have a purpose- knowing that you are making a difference – knowing that you are contributing to something that is good.

clarify-your-purpose-what-is-the-why-behind-everything-you-do-when-we-know-this-in-life-or-design-quote-1

There is just too much emphasis today on “finding your purpose” and not enough encouragement to live a life filled with intention. There is a difference between finding one’s purpose and living daily with intention. Today I am thinking about how one can find their purpose when they decide to live their lives like everything is on purpose.

c

Everything you do, can be done with more intention and with more purpose. Finding your purpose does not have to be a huge wrestle with wonder and worry.

Discovering your purpose does not have to lead to endless self-reflection and a struggle to uncover your true passion.

You can start right here, right now and ask yourself one simple question – What is the purpose of what I am doing right now? This one question helps to breathe new meaning into your life.

d

What is the purpose of sitting down and writing this post?

The purpose of this post is to share a bit of wisdom  about what it means to live with purpose. This is my contribution to the world today.

What is the purpose of my morning routine?

The purpose of eating a healthy breakfast and going to the gym this morning is to keep my mind and body strong.

What is the purpose of my work?

The purpose of my work today is to help others growth their businesses and build their dreams.

And so forth. . .

Everything I do must have a purpose, or I simply won’t do it. Even wasting some time watching Netflix or surfing through YouTube has a purpose for me. The purpose might be two fold – the taking a moment to relax and discovering something new that interests me.

I believe that once you start asking yourself why you do what you do, you begin to live with more intention. This “why” question also helps you understand more about yourself and in turn makes you more self aware and connected to your life purpose.

Clarity About Your Contribution

I believe if we can share what we have learned along the way, we might be able shed light on the dark edges of the path for others. By Madeline Johnson

How wonderful it is that nobody need wait a single moment before starting to improve the world.

-Anne Frank

I keep telling myself, “you can’t do everything, but you can do something.”  My issue, is scattered energy. I struggle with staying focused and seeing things through. I start, I stop and I keep bouncing around from one great idea to another. Everything and nothing excites me all at once.

It’s probably why I am reading Michael Singer’s The Untethered Soul for the third time. The only thing I can do is laugh at myself. Such a beautiful mess.

you

Seeking More Clarity About My Contribution

So, of course I was inspired by Jordan Bach today. Yet another one of you on the world wide web sharing wisdom and inspiration. I am in awe.

Jordan encourages his community to petition God, the Universe, their Higher Power for more clarity about their contribution to the world.  What is it that you want me to do with these gifts I am not sure I actually have?

next

Jordan guides us to believe that only loving thoughts are true.  The rest of your fear-based spin outs, that “negative thinking” thing we all do – the “doubting thing” that is  simply false and harmful?

We must remember no amount of negativity will serve us well at all.

To Be Such A Beautiful Mess

We are all human, and to be human is a very complex way to be. Most of our lives are messy.  Some of us have created a more beautiful mess than others, but a mess just the same.

dont-cheat-the-world-of-your-contribution-give-it-what-youve-got-quote-1

The question is, as you become more centered and grounded, as you get closer to what your unique contribution looks and feels like – are you going to share your mess or are you going to share your message?

1.png

Are you sharing the grace and illumination you have received from the pain you have suffered?  This, I believe is a hint, a God wink, to where your contribution might reside.

I believe if we can share what we have learned along the way, we might be able shed light on the dark edges of the path for others.

What Makes Life Easier

When you’re clear on your intention you take inspired action that is in alignment with your words and truth. By Madeline Johnson

What makes life easier is setting your intention for everything you do. This one simple habit will increase the probability of things going your way today and who doesn’t want more of that?

intentiosn

When you’re clear on your intention you take inspired action that is in alignment with your words and truth.

When you intend for everything to go well, you don’t have to try as hard.

1

Before you begin today, set your intentions.

I intend to remain grateful today.

I intend to have a productive day at work.

I intend to show my  husband,  brother, daughters and friends how much I love them.

I intend to laugh at myself more throughout the day.

What are your intentions for the day?

It Really is Your Story

Stop searching for your purpose. Whatever you’re doing,  find the meaning in that right now.  By Madeline Johnson

And no one, I mean, no one, I promise you –  no one is going to create your story for you.

You-are-the-Hero-of-your-own-story

Let’s challenge ourselves shall we? Let’s question the stories we tell ourselves–  about why we are here, stuck over there, or wondering where we are headed.

Loosen up the noose around your neck.

Take a breath why don’t you.

Free yourself of fixed ideas, of old stale notions about your story.

Flip the script you’ve been writing.  It’s time for a plot twist.

The truth about your story is you get to make it up along the way.  Every day.  You are the only one to give anything any meaning in your life.  And your life can mean anything you want it to mean.

What do you care about, what do you think is important? Not for the world, not for society, but for yourself?

The Messy Process of Loving Yourself

Learning to love and respect yourself isn’t something that you decide to do one day. It’s a daily practice. By Madeline Johnson

Learning to love and respect yourself isn’t something that you decide to do one day. It’s a daily practice. Self-acceptance requires patience and practice and maybe even managing those great expectations you have for yourself while holding onto your standards.

Expectations can sometimes get in the way of lessons and joy found in unexpected experiences.

An argument for loving and accepting yourself . . .

When we refuse to accept ourselves as we are, then we return to the constant need for numbing and distraction. And we will similarly be unable to accept others the way they are, so we will look for ways to manipulate them, change them, or convince them to be a person they are not. Our relationships will become transactional, conditional, and ultimately toxic and fail.

When Your Struggles Become Your Strength

Reflecting and learning from painful experiences is how you turn your struggles into strengths. by Madeline Johnson

Like many of you, some of the most challenging moments in my life have been the best for me because I have learned so much from them and I have grown so much confidence through fighting and finding my way through each problem.

Confidence comes from over coming problems you thought you couldn’t handle.

4
For example, I learned that I am a very strong, determined and persevering human being after helping my middle daughter Ariel through a traumatic brain injury. She was in a terrible car accident and on life support and those seven years of helping her and watching the doctors bring her back to life, taught me never to give up, to fight for life, to ask for help and to continue to ask questions and seek solutions even when everything seems impossible.
7.png
Having to close my marketing and PR agency during the process and begin consulting during her recovery had me learning new skills, like how to build WordPress and Shopify websites, video production, editing and reaching out to clients through platforms like LinkedIn, Upwork, Clarity and Angel List, basically – starting all over again.
You can learn more about my work here.
Evolving and growing, while remaining humble, that’s what we must do as humans.

We either evolve or we die.

6
Being my mom’s advocate during her fight with stage four lung cancer taught me that relationships are everything and it is an honor to see someone pass through this existence, to be able to have the time to tell them how much they mean to you and that their life was very, very important to you.
1
Getting back together once again after divorcing my husband, the love of my life, taught me that we should always be open to forgiving. Forgiving ourselves and those we love because it frees the heart and actually strengthens you. Whether work or personal or both, relationships in life are everything and relationships won’t grow unless you do. It’s about becoming self-aware and open to change.
3
I have learned that painful experiences when reflected upon properly offer so much in the way of lessons and self-improvement.

What have you learned from your most painful moments?

What Motivates Most of Us

What really motivates us is our need to be loved and heard. By Madeline Johnson

What motivates most of us is . . .
. . .the desire to feel loved and appreciated. . .
. . .the wish to be admired and acknowledged. . .
. . .the longing to be heard and to seem relevant. . .
. . .the need to feel important and significant. . .
the-lovers-1
When you say Never mind, Whatever, Forget about it, I really don’t care,  It doesn’t even matter . . . .you are lying to yourself.
You’re being dishonest with yourself and with the world.
And this is what holds you back.  This is what keeps you from getting anywhere.
Reality is, you do care.

Now just imagine if you were vulnerable enough to express yourself. . . if you could share your inner truth . . .  see my worth, recognize my value, love me for who I am dammit!

discovery
Then you’d be sharing some hard core truth.
The goal should be to get closer to a state of “self-congruence” — in which what we say, think, and feel is consistent with who we are inside. And the truth is we are dying inside for some unconditional love.
Honor this. . .the truth, because the fact is, you do care. You care so much it hurts.
81d0b0e9a1b362314b637358159d2204
So go ahead, pay attention, tend to yourself and your need to be loved, acknowledged and heard.
Grow to become more honest with who you are and less delusional about yourself.

Rene Magritte was an internationally acclaimed surrealist artist of all time, yet it was not until his 50s, when he was finally able to reach some form of fame and recognition for his work. Rene Magritte described his paintings saying, “My painting is visible images which conceal nothing; they evoke mystery and, indeed, when one sees one of my pictures, one asks oneself this simple question, ‘What does that mean?’ It does not mean anything, because mystery means nothing, it is unknowable.”

To Express The Creative Capacity of Our Essence

“If you can see your path laid out in front of you step by step, you know it’s not your path. Your own path you make with every step you take. That’s why it’s your path.  – Joseph Campbell

Absolute freedom. A life devoted to creative self-expression.

Huda Lutfi_Imagining the City_2016_Photographs, acrylic and oil paint on wood panel, 50 x 40 x 2 cm_0

A life that is fundamentally free is one that is free of certainty.  Purpose, passion, goals. . .they do not matter. The only guarantee of success is that every outcome is uncertain.  Their is no guarantee. Our purpose is not to be found or “discovered”. Our essence is to be expressed or we may fall into arrested expansion.

neosurrealismart

To become completely comfortable with uncertainty is total freedom.

To live a life that is full of curiosity, enthusiasm and wonder.

To be free to live open to every situation at one time that we imagined would be difficult or a conflict.

To express the creative capacity of our essence.

This is how our lives become a work of art.

sail

To live in direct contact with the perpetual, dynamic uncertainty that is implicit in the power of life itself.  To appreciate the mystery of life.

This is equal to living in the heart of intimate freedom.

When we simply are, we are free.

There is no purpose to be found. Just the creative expression of life itself.

As you stroll along, if you’re awake enough, you will be led by your curiosity and excitement.

Emotions Over Thoughts and A Softer Way to Communicate

How to follow your intuition by becoming more mindful.

Three things I am working on right now.

Soul Singing

Question: What does my soul say today?

My soul doesn’t speak in thoughts. No, not at all. These thoughts that clutter my mind are just residual pain left over from the things I haven’t let go of yet. Thoughts of conflicts yet resolved.

My soul speaks in feelings, emotions, images, sounds, clues.

My soul speaks to me when I feel deep sadness, frustration, anger, contentment and happiness.

I can feel, see, taste, touch and listen to my soul when my mind is silent.

That’s why I meditate.

Weeding my mind garden so there is more room for a soul orchestra.

Good feelings can’t grow from grudges. Pure thoughts don’t come from residual pain.

These are the feelings from stories feared.

Letting these thoughts drift on by, help me weed my mind garden and clear the soil for a more softer, gentler and more compassionate state of being.

Recovering from the violent ways in which we communicate.

Judging, blaming, demanding, critiquing, name-calling.

Talk about your karma baby.

Softer thoughts lead to kinder words. Seeking more non-violent ways to communicate.
